I would like to thank you for your great service last night. Max and Nala both were so relaxed when they met you and even more so once they came in the house. They have never smelled and looked so good. Your grooming skills are phenomenal. I was encouraged by one of the other clients email to utilize your services when I found out that you groom Shih Tzu breeds. We have a more unique story as Nala is 5 weeks pregnant and needed the TLC you gave. My family is so pleased with your services and will absolutely use you in the near future. Toni, you and the other groomer [Shawnda] have such a peacefulness about you that definitely rubbed off on my little people. I have already given out 3 cards since last night.

The young lady that provided the grooming today was wonderful. Very
patient and thorough. He has always had less then pleasent experiences
at various grooming places. This worked out wonderfully!
As I mentioned to the groomer today I work for a pet sitting compnay
called Sit A Pet part time. I plan to sing your praises all over DC and
Maryland to my clients and the other sitters.

CJ and Kizzie look fabulous-like movie stars! I am so pleased with your service at "Pooches". Joel the groomer was excellent with both my dogs who had not been professionally done for three months. The van was quiet and spotless, spotless, spotless. I like the fact that my dog gets ALL the attention of the groomer without distractions of a noisy shop with lots of dogs and people milling around. The convenience and safety and cleanliness is well worth the price, especially for high-maintenance dogs like my two Shih Tzu. I will use "Smooches" again, and I took a fistful of cards to hand out to my neighbors. One neighbor is already taking down the info right off the van as I write!!!

There is a new pet grooming service serving the Cleveland Park/Woodley Park area. Last week while leaving the Uptown Theater my wife and I noticed a van for a service called "Pooches", a mobile "spa" for dogs. As we have been looking for a good local or mobile grooming service for the past several years, we took down the number and made a reservation. Our dog, a small beagle, had her first grooming experience with "Pooches" yesterday. She emerged clean and happy. She wasn't caged in a small noisy room with a half dozen other traumatized dogs and she had the undivided attention of the groomer the entire hour. They did an excellent job washing and drying her. They also cleaned her eyes and ears and brushed her teeth. "Pooches" drives to your home; parks in front of or in the alley behind your home; grooms your dog in a fully equipped new van; and then after 45 minutes to an hour gets a check or cash from you and goes to the next appointment. They are slightly more pricey than some of the pet stores and groomers in town, but when you think about the savings in time and aggravation and gas by having them come to you, we think the price charged us was fair...

Hi Toni-
Joel did an amazing job with Fritz this afternoon! For a little while, he will look like a Westminster show dog! He smelled so fresh and clean that it filled our apartment when he came back inside! I'm a true proponent of mobile pet grooming -- send 'em out for an hour or so and then get 'em back! I will definitely recommend you guys to other dog owners in the area-McLean Gardens has TONS of dogs and cats. You should consider putting an ad in the Northwest Current - many of its readers are dog and cat owners in the area. Thanks a lot and I'll contact you in a couple of months. We want to keep Fritz cut close for the summer heat.
